Information about FPMS Garden Club 2017-18

 

Garden Club meets on Tuesdays from 3-4 P.M. most of the school year and also during the Summer on Tuesday mornings (depending on the weather). There is a signup sheet at the end of the school year for this.

Garden Club meets in Mrs. Milauskas’s room 261 but we often go down to work in the 15 raised beds that are right behind the school by the bike racks. Because we meet all year, students are allowed to come and go if they want to join a certain sport then return to Garden Club when it is over.

​

There is no cost to join Garden Club because we are self supporting through our Bake Sales and our Annual Spring Plant Sale. So Springtime (April & May) is an important time when Mrs. Milauskas needs committed students to plant seeds, transplant tomatoes and flowers etc. to prepare for our the plant sale which is our main fund raiser. During this time Garden Club may meet 2-3 times a week as students schedules permit. There is a signup sheet at the end of the school year for this.

BONUS: Students who come consistently and work well with other members are able to take home houseplants, garden produce and things we bake using Garden produce (zucchini bread).
